Vancouver Island Bear Hunt

  Kid and I had a great hunt.
 1) I've never seen 40+ bears over the course of five days. DID IT!!!
 2) Never counted over 30 piles of "you know what" on a 1/2 mile stretch of road. Did that too.
 3) Great food
 4) Great people (+ or -) :chuckle:
 All round good trip. My son shot his biggest bear to date. Would've been bigger if I hadn't talked him out of a pretty good one the first day. My bad. :dunno:
 And I managed to completely choke a shot at a monster on the last day.

Canadian Guide Outfitters (Sean Lingl)
$6000 a piece.
With that said though. You're hunting essentially private ground. Because the whole island is either residential, timber land or parks. and the only time that the timber companies open gates are on specific, for the lack of a better word, holidays. They were only open one day we were there and we only saw a couple residents messing around in the woods. We basically had the his whole area to ourselves.

Awesome bear.
That island is loaded.
It's still blows my mind everytime we fish nootka how many bears we see on the beach..we almost forget to watch our lines....
